PLAYBOX
Playbox nursery Cardiff was established in 1989 in what is now the toddler nursery at Bronwydd Avenue. Initially it catered for just 10 children but demand soon outstripped the number of places we had available.

We expanded the Bronwydd Avenue nursery to cater for more children and then for babies as well as toddlers. In 2000 we opened the Maryport Road nursery catering just for the under 2's and two years later we opened Brandreth Road and since then all the under 2's have been cared for in Maryport Road and Brandreth Road, moving up to Bronwydd Avenue when they reach the age of 2.

Now with the opening of 83 Brandreth Road Cardiff we can cater for 36 children under the age of 2 and 40 over 2's at Bronwydd Avenue. In the last 15 years there has been a change in the pattern of demand with more parents returning to work after maternity leave, so there is increased demand for places with babies.

As there are more state-funded nursery places made available for 4 and now 3 year-olds the average age of children at Playbox has fallen.

A qualified teacher introduces the older toddlers to learning.

We believe that young children settle best in a homely setting, so Playbox Cardiff aims to offer a homely, friendly and welcoming atmosphere as you walk in.

The baby nurseries are calm and cosy,and the toddler nursery brighter and more fun-centered.
